Create decorative or functional clay sculptures (not suitable for serving food or beverages). Make beads, pendants, animal sculptures, flowers, bowls – the possibilities are endless. Bring your imagination! We’ll use non-toxic and gluten-free white modelling clay.
We’ll use moist fingers and tools to shape and texture the clay, and found objects to imprint the clay. Large pieces dry protected with a loose plastic bag so they dry slowly and don’t crack. The clay air hardens in 1-2 days and the surface dries overnight. If thick, it might take several days to dry completely. Once dry, you can sand it smooth and paint with clear or coloured acrylic, solid or patterned. After the paint dries, you can apply fine details using a small brush or waterproof permanent markers.
