$ Multi-class Credit

Take 2 KAN classes in the same year and receive a $15 credit toward a future KAN class, or toward a 1-year KAN membership fee. Offer not available for Life Drawing sessions.

Cancellation Policy

With 7 days notice, we will offer a credit or refund. With less than 7 days but at least 48 hours notice, we will offer a credit. Otherwise, no refund or credit will be given, including if a student does not attend. We thank you for your continued support and cooperation.

KAN will be following protocols regarding COVID-19 that are in place at the time this class occurs.

Explore nature through the wonder of botanical drawing! Following a brief discussion about art and botanical drawing, we will explore the nature of paper and graphite, and how to use these for a drawing. The emphasis will be on the method John uses. Doing a botanical drawing will entail your reference, composition decision, and preparation drawing. Then you will transfer your drawing to good quality drawing paper to do your final drawing and the finishing.

Materials:

Bring to class: Bring your own drawing equipment. Be sure to include a set of pencils, a kneaded eraser, and good quality drawing paper. Also bring a few botanical specimens you would like to draw.

Materials fee: $10 will include a handout package. Please bring this to class, payable to the instructor.
