Although this class is for beginners, novice painters are more than welcome to attend.
Joy will cover the basics of painting with acrylics through a brief introduction about how to work with acrylics and common traps to avoid. Then you will dive right in to learn by doing, as Joy takes you through the process of painting a Common Loon using a step-by-step process. She will alternate between instructor demos and student painting sessions with personal guidance whenever needed. You will also learn the magic of painting water droplets, the tricks to painting a bird’s eye, and tips on varnishing your completed painting. You can paint a simple Loon study, a Loon portrait, or even a full body Loon. It’s up to you. Joy will have several design options available for you to choose from, as well as photo references.
