This video is a small compilation of the installation art created for the project. Seven artists across Kawartha Lakes were given 1000 4 x 6” Canadian flags and told to “be creative in a Canadian way” in an open space, suitable for drone filming.
Sponsored by KAN and the Kawartha Art Gallery, the result is a varied group of installations across the region. Note that three KAN members are featured – Beverley and Paul Williams in the Bethany Park, and Lesley Drummond at Globus Theatre.
As one of the organizers and participants, I’d like to thank all the artists for their willingness to jump on the creative bandwagon with such a short deadline….do all artists work better in panic mode?!……and Susan Taylor of KAG and Donna Goodwin of COKL for their hours and expertise.
