SUMMARY:Inking Techniques Using Black Marker
DESCRIPTION:Has drawing with marker always been intimidating? It won’t be after today! \nLose your inhibitions using some simple techniques with water soluble black marker and a paintbrush. Play with abstraction or focus on realistic imagery – the choice is yours\, so pick your comfort level. Bring some photos for reference – preferably ones you have taken yourself or been given permission to use. After working in the Toronto commercial and public gallery scene\, she taught Visual Arts\, Applied Design and Art History at the high school level for 30 years and supervised the running of local gallery\, Art on Kent. SUMMARY:Make a Leather Journal Cover
DESCRIPTION:Burn using a woodburner\, dye\, and stitch together a 6” x 9” tooling leather journal cover. Includes a removable 5.5” x 8.5” journal. You can bring your own design (9” x 12” surface size to span both sides of the journal cover)\, or you can use one of Donna’s original patterns. \nLeather dye stains\, so please wear appropriate clothing. Latex gloves will be provided for the dying process. Burning is done to the pattern and sides. If you have a burner and want to use it\, please bring it. Stitching is done as a blanket stitch by hand. Leather needles and sinew will be provided. Dying is done with brushes and sponges (provided or bring your own).
