DESCRIPTION:Do you like to make funky and unusual things? This workshop is for children who want to learn about what made Pablo Picasso so famous\, why his work is so unusual\, about abstract art\, and what we can learn and use in our own art. We will look at some of Picasso’s pieces and play a game to learn more about his style. The majority of our time will be spent creating our own large (approximately 2-foot x 1.5-foot) Picasso-inspired face. Following a brief discussion about art and botanical drawing\, we will explore the nature of paper and graphite\, and how to use these for a drawing. The emphasis will be on the method John uses.
