Gov't Protocols

KAN will be following protocols regarding COVID-19 that are in place at the time this class occurs.

This class is intended for those who have taken the Beginners Scratchboard workshop. In this session you will be given a choice to bring your own projects to work on and get help from the instructor, or you may choose to allow Lori to provide one to you to fit an 8 x 10 board, if you need additional guidance.

The course will focus on more advanced scratchboard techniques, especially as they apply to realism. Lori will demonstrate with the supplied project so you can observe how she tackles each element. She will also guide you through your own project and offer helpful suggestions and advice on others that you bring along such as finished works, works in progress, or have on file.

Lori will discuss moving forward professionally in the medium in terms of varnishing, framing, presenting work at shows, and the special challenges that come with scratchboard as a fine art form.

Bring your own favourite scratchboard tools and supplies for a relaxing and creative day!
