Have you wanted to try your hand at painting in acrylics, but aren’t sure where to begin? This class will lead you through creating your own 8”x10” painting of a winter setting of birch trees.
You’ll learn how to avoid common mistakes beginners make, how to blend colours, how to use the colour wheel and a variety of painting tools. You can use the colour palette used by the instructor, or you can create your own colour palette. Joy will guide you through the painting step-by-step, alternating between instructor demos and your own painting time. This class is all about having fun while discovering your artistic side. Materials fee $20 payable at class to instructor includes:
- 11″x14″ canvas board
- artist grade paints
- use of brushes
- additional canvas board or substrate as needed for class
- any mediums other than paint
- handouts package
