Robert O’Hoski
Painting. Travel. People. Landscapes.
Robert O'Hoski
Rob is a painter in pastel and oil. He studied at Three Schools in Toronto, and apprenticed with John Angel, a protégé of Italian master Pietro Annigoni.
He originally worked in egg tempera, but gradually moved to oil, then pastel. He loves the immediacy of pastel – drawing with colour – and the beautiful texture and tones of the medium.
His favourite subject is people, but he executes a range of subject matter, including landscape. Rob’s landscapes are typically of places he’s been, and reflect his love of travel. His favourite travel destination is Spain, reflected in the images in his Spanish series.
