Carrie Ruddy, originally from Coboconk, Ontario, spent several years immersed in the vibrant atmosphere of the Greater Toronto Area as a graphic designer, honing her skills as a fine artist in her free time. Encouraged by her friends, she shared her artwork in an online charity auction, marking a new chapter in her creative journey. Eventually, Carrie and her family returned to the rural beauty of the Kawartha Lakes, where her artistic roots truly flourished.
As primarily a soft pastel artist, Carrie delves into the harmony and connection that nature provides, shown through her impressionistic and expressive style. Her artwork draws inspiration from her faith and the breathtaking beauty of God’s creation, inviting moments of presence, reflection, and joy. She hopes her creations inspire viewers to discover their own moments of peace and connection within nature.
