Donna Bisschop

Mixed Media. Stain glass. Nature. Knot-work. Murals.

Donna Bisschop

Donna’s art career has been as varied as her choices of towns and cities to live in, moving through pointillism/ pen & ink, watercolour pencil, decoupage, acrylic paint, leather and wood. All her life she was told to stay in one place; pick one medium and stick with it, but she loves challenging herself to achieve new projects and concepts, to be part of community – making a difference through creativity. Nature, a connectedness to Spirit, cycles and the meditative rhythm of knot-work play out largely in much of her art…breathing vision into action.

The last five years have been a combination of murals for Donna, (a 3 mural series for the Kinmount Fair, Fenelon Falls Curling Club, Glass Eagle Studio and more), plus design work for a massive stained glass project. So far, over 25 windows in the synagogue, Chabad Lubavitch, in Markham she has had the privilege of designing…an amazing learning curve in drawing to accommodate glass.

Along with those projects Donna has stayed busy with leather and paint for pleasure and for sale.

Donna’s studio at 18 Murray Street in Fenelon Falls is open all year by appointment or chance.
